I’m from Haryana, so my weekend breakfast rules are pretty simple and non-negotiable: it’s either got to be a massive plate of Cholle Bhature or heavy, stuffed paranthas. I ended up at Krishna Tiffin Room in Truganina few weeks ago, and honestly, It completely surprised me. Even though it’s not my usual North Indian staple, the food here just hits different. It’s incredibly comforting and honestly feels like food for the soul. Nothing felt overly greasy or heavy—just really clean, delicious, home-style food that makes you feel good after eating it. What made the experience even better was the people working there. They are incredibly warm and welcoming, which just adds to that genuine, homely vibe. The only downside for me is that I live pretty far away. Honestly, if I lived closer, I wouldn't go anywhere else—this would be my absolute go-to spot for breakfast every single weekend. If you want a meal that feels less like standard restaurant food and more like a warm, comforting home-cooked dish, definitely check this place out.

We visited this place without much prior information. And it really deserves more than 5 stars. The authenticity behind the food was a terrific surprise. When paired with the calming atmosphere, it made dining here a memorable experience. Not to mention all staff members were warm, inviting and welcoming. Thanks so much! Don't think it is some cafe/tiffin place.. it is full restaurant and much better than the others we tried in western Melbourne so far.

If you're looking for an authentic South Indian breakfast in Truganina, look no further. The Neer Dosa was light and flavorful, and the Idli Vada set was perfectly prepared. Beyond the great food, the service is quick and the atmosphere is very welcoming. A bonus for early risers: they open early on weekdays and even serve Western breakfast and great coffee!

We ordered Pudina Masala Dosa, Masala Idly, Masala Poori, Manglore Buns, Chickkmagaluru Kaapi (Coffee). Everything was so fresh and full of flavours with the taste of pure Ghee in every bite. Masala Poori is a MUST try along with coffee. It’s a hidden gem with subtle twist to southern Indian flavours that you shouldn’t miss.

I visited Krishna Tiffin Room to try the South Indian dishes. I was honestly blown away by the authentic flavours. We tried Thatte Podi Idli, Poori, Ghee Roast Dosa, Pudina Masala Dosa and the Coffee. Every dish was fresh, delicious and felt like home. The service was great and the staff were welcoming and warm. They even gave us complimentary spiced buttermilk which again didn’t disappoint us. We even tried their potato bun and dil pasand, which are local delicacies back in India. Overall, the place had homely vibe and if you are craving for real South Indian food, this is the spot! I am definitely going back.
